Ingredients for a Full English Breakfast (serves 2)
- 4 pork sausages
- 3-4 rashers of bacon
- 2 flat mushrooms
- 4 eggs
- 1-2 whole tomatoes
- 1 can of beans
- 2 slices of bread
- Optional extras:
- 2 slices of black pudding
- 3-4 hash browns
Method for a Full English Breakfast
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Preheat the oven to 120°C, fan 100°C, gas ½.
- Grill the pork sausages for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden on the outside and cooked through the middle. After the first 10 minutes, increase the heat slightly before beginning to cook the tomatoes, cut side up, and the mushrooms. Once all items in the pan have cooked, put them in the oven to keep hot.
- Heat a large frying pan and add 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil. Add the bacon and fry until crisp and golden on both sides. Once cooked to liking, remove from the pan and place into the oven.
- With the same pan as the bacon, fry the bread for 2-3 minutes on each side or until crisp and golden, then remove from the pan and place into the oven.
- OPTIONAL: Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan and fry the black pudding for 2-3 minutes on each side and place into the oven once cooked.
- Open the can of baked beans and place it in a small saucepan. Cook for 5 minutes or until the baked beans are bubbling.
- Whilst the beans are simmering, heat a tablespoon of oil in a clean frying pan and crack the eggs and fry until the white has just started to settle and the yolks are slightly runny.
- Remove the cooked items from the oven and place them on warm plates.
