Paprika Spiced Air-Fryer Roast Chicken

INGREDIENTS:

1. Begin by preparing the chicken. Remove any string and contents from the cavity. In a small bowl, mix together the vegetable oil, smoked paprika, dried herbs, garlic granules, ½ tsp salt, and plenty of freshly ground black pepper.

2. Place the chicken in a large bowl and rub it all over with the spiced vegetable oil mixture.

3. Preheat the air-fryer to 180°C. Carefully place the chicken into the air-fryer, breast-side down. Cook for 30 minutes.

4. After 30 minutes, turn the chicken over and continue cooking for another 10 minutes.

5. Increase the heat to 200°C and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes to crisp the skin.

6. Check the chicken’s internal temperature with a probe, ensuring it reaches 70°C at the thickest part, or until the juices run clear when pierced.

Note – For even more flavour, you can marinate the chicken up to 24 hours before cooking.
